Walk straight into a mall! The Mandarin is connected to the Suria KLCC, a huge mall. All of the luxury stores you’ve ever heard of, cafes, coffee shops, 2 grocery markets, a Petroleum Discovery Center, a Movie Theater. It was frenetic.
I made it outside, and my glasses immediately fogged up because of the difference between the amazing air conditioning of the mall and the heat and humidity of the outside. But, once they cleared, there she was.
Sadly, photos do not do this amazing structure justice. I can best liken the buildings to seeing two spaceships pointed skywards.
I am ashamed to admit it, but given how the day had gone, dinner was at the hotel pool deck. A smoothie of fresh lychee, soda water and mint, and a quite good beef burger (About 100 RMB or $20US), I watched torrential tropical rains move in and out and before you know it, it was night. Back through the mall, to this….
And with that, it was time for bed.
